The Sri.M.Dana Kishore, IAS, Managing Director, HMWSSB has resolved 24 complaints during Dial Your MD program held on 28th March 2020. Viz. low pressure of water, water contamination, sewerage overflows, high billing etc. Later he hold a teleconference with GM’s and instructed to keep their offices clean with Sodium Hypo-Chlorite and see that every employee must use masks and sanitizers and be available round the clock to solve any issues pertains to the public in the divisions.
The Managing Director has said that 4 task force special teams consisting 100 linemen, sewerage staff, 1 GM, 2 DGMs, 4 Managers, 1 Police Officer and his staff will be kept ready at the head office to move in emergency. The MD has instructed the GM’s saying that 20 additional staff are to be identified to work round the clock for water supply, tanker supply, steps on water contamination.

A Tele-Conference held by Sri.M.Dana Kishore, IAS, Managing Director, HMWSSB on 24th March 2020 in the advent of COVID-19 for precautionary steps by the entire staff of HMWSSB and he further sanctioned an amount Rs. 5000/- to each division for purchase and supply of Masks, Gloves. Sanitizers and other required material for the staff.
He informed the people in a press statement, that the water reserves are plenty and need not worry for hygienic measures. The sewerage staff like linemen and other technical staff are kept ready with air-tech machines for sewerage cleaning and to maintain hygienic conditions. The Entry Passes along with Masks and Gloves will be provided to all the HMWSSB staff to work at the ground level during COVID lockdown period.
The Managing Director instructed the GM’s to hold a similar tele-conference with their Managers and Technical staff every day on their health grounds and to take precautionary steps according to the situation.

During the review of Summer Action Plan-2020 on 10th March 2020, theSri.M.Dana Kishore, IAS, Managing Director, HMWSSB has discussed the strategies for immediate water supply tankers to avoid the difficulties by the public. After an analysis with the officers the Managing Director has said that 230 additional water tankers shall be deployed apart from 23 filling stations and 110 filling points. The water tankers are to be delivered within 48 hours after the booking. Mini generators are to keep ready at the filling points if power failures. A third party will be deployed to identity the low pressure, water contamination and water supply to tail end points etc.
Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board has celebrated the International Women’s Day on 7th March 2020 at Board Office, Khairatabad, Hyderabad. Speaking on occasion as chief guest, Sri M. Dana Kishore, IAS, Managing Director, HMWSSB lighted the Lamp and said that the women has a great role in the society as Mother, Daughter, Daughter-in-Law, Teacher, etc. They have proved that they are the winners in the Universe irrespective of gender discrepancies.
He later distributed the awards to the winners in the competitions organized by Women’s Ministerial Staff. Prominent writers Athluri Vijayalaxmi, Potthuri Vijayalaxmi and various others participated.

Action has to be viewed on low pressure of water supply, sewerage overflow, water contamination etc.

A Criminal Case was filed against 40 members of M/s Ravi Shankar Residency, Hno: 5-2-122/107 in Tirumal Nagar, Kushaiguda for having illegal water connection on 4th March 2020 under IPC 269 & 430.
In the light of sewerage taken over by HMWSSB from GHMC from 1st March 2020, Sri M. Dana Kishore, IAS, Managing Director, HMWSSB has visited the Nagole STP on 2nd March 2020 to oversee the functioning of sewerage treatment. Out of 1781 MLD of sewerage is being produced from twin cities, only 770 MLD is being treated from Nagole STP and hence planned another 100 MLD to be treated from nearby STPs. The Managing Director has instructed the sewerage workers to wear the Masks and Helmets with implements while working at the site.

Since a day is left over for taking over the sewerage maintenance from GHMC, Sri.M.Dana Kishore, IAS, Managing Director, HMWSSB has hold another round of discussion with concerned officers to kick start with all men and machinery. The officers informed the Managing Director stating that 584 sanitation staff, 66 mini Air tech machines, 28 Air tech machines with uniforms are ready to start the work from 1st March 2020.
The Managing Director has suggested the officers to get start the sewerage works by inviting local MLAs and other peoples representatives so as to have an idea about HMWSSB has taken over the maintenance from GHMC. 66 wards from 7 Municipalities, 3600 KMs length of pipeline, 3.26 lakh Manholes have come under HMWSSB from 1st March, 2020

A criminal case was filed U/S 260, 430 by Vigilance Wing of HMWSSB for having illegal and unauthorized water connection against house owner Sri.Sayyad Sirajuddin, H.No:3-6-207, 207/2 of Himayathnagar area. The building has water connection without the permission of HMWSSB.
Sri K.T. Rama Rao, Hon’ble Minister for MA&UD visited Rain Water Harvesting Theme Park on 28th February 2020 along with Sri Arvind Kumar,IAS, Principal Secretary of MA&UD, GovTS. Sri M.Dana Kishore, IAS, Managing Director, HMWSSB has briefed the Minister about the Theme Park.
The Minister has gone round the Theme park and observed constructions of various types of RWH structures at the site. The Minister has said that this theme park will enlightened the students on the save water concept perfectly well. Initiation of WaLC is a thoughtful programme created by HMWSSB will certainly reduce the NRW for future generations. On occasion the Minister has released the WaLC diaries and new Blue Uniforms meant for the HMWSSB staff.
The HMWSSB is supplying 472 MGD of water every day to the citizens of Hyderabad City where as 170 MGD of water i.e. 77 crore litres is just being wasted by the public by negligence every day. This wasted water could be sufficient to quench the thirst of population like Warangal or Karimnagar Towns, Said Sri M. Dana Kishore, IAS Managing Direector, HMWSSB during WaLC Awareness Programme organized in Malakpet Constituency on 26th February 2020. On occasion Sri.Md.Balala, MLA Malakpet participated as chief guest.
It is further said by the Managing Director that an amount of Rs. 42/- is being incurred by the HMWSSB for every 1000 liters for transportation of water from source to house, where as the board is giving for only Rs. 7/- on subsidy rates to the poor people for the same quantity. People should understand the necessity of every water drop that counts.
The WaLC (Water Leadership and Conservation) programme has initiated to create awareness and understanding on reduction of wastage of water and water conservation for future generations. Various NGO’s, peoples representatives, students attended the meeting.

Sri M. Dana Kishore, IAS, Managing Director, HMWSSB has reviewed on the Summer Action Plan 2020 for ORR Villages and sanctioned an amount of Rs. 1.5 crores for erection of 17 new filling stations and for 60 water tankers to quench the thirst of 193 village population within ORR limits. The water tanker services are come into effect from 15th March 2020 positively. The Managing Director has instructed to sanction temporary CAN No’s as per the list collected from concerned municipalities.

Certificated are awarded to 400 employees of HMWSSB staff after successful completion of their training on Energy Efficiency organized by Renewable Energy Department (GOI) on 24.02.2020 at a Hotel Abode in Lakdikapool.
The 400 employees undergone for training are divided into 9 batches @ 2 days training for each batch held from 28.01.2020 to 20.02.2020. The officials from Energy Management Division and HMWSSB staff have participated.
A criminal case was filed on two buildings at Lingampally and Moula-ali areas for having Illegal water connection one against the house owner Mr. Mohan Goud, Lingampally and second building against house owner Smt. Koushalya Devi in Moulali. These people are using unauthorized water connections without any permission of HMWSSB and hence booked under IPC 269 & 430.
Dr. Prashanth Mahapathra, Dean from Institute of Health System has given a one day orientation for QAT Wing of around 200 staff members on 22nd February 2020 at Board Office. The orientation consisting of chlorination levels in water quantity and precautions if any during chlorination leakages etc., Sri.Sunil Kumar, GM(QAT) and others participated.
Sri M. Dana Kishore, IAS, Managing Director, HMWSSB has reviewed ongoing progress of ORR water supply project on 20th February 2020. Village wise details, numner of bore-wells in every village, availability of water, requirement of new connections shall be collected as on hand information. Every connections has to given temporary CAN numbers. The pending bills to the Jalamandlali before and after 2017 are also to be collected and submit the report.

The HMWSSB staff have planted 666 various types plants in 4 acres area at Jalamandali Gandipet Park on the occasion of 66th Birthday Celebrations of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana, Sri K. Chandra Shekar Rao on 17.02.2020. Keeping in view of the occasion Sri.M.Dana Kishore, IAS, Managing Director, HMWSSB along with other Directors released WaLC Diary meant for WaLC Volunteers, NGOs, and other officers related. The Ministry of Renewable Energy has conducted an orientation program on Energy Efficiency for HMWSSB staff of Technical Grade-2, ATO, JTO, Managers and DGM’s held today at Jalamandali Training Centre, Hyderguda. The orientation consisting of Energy Efficiency in WTPs, usage in Lighting Systems etc., it will be held upto 20th February 2020 in different batches. Dr. B. Sri M. Dana Kishore, IAS, Managing Director, HMWSSB has reviewed the ongoing progress of Sanathnagar Pilot Project on 12th February 2020 at the Board Office. Several issues have been discussed in meeting like house to house survey, water auditing by colour coding, NGOs and WaLC volunteers role, reduction of NRW, RWH structures, construction of slit chambers, water pipeline mapping, valves Geo tagging, sewerage overflow, water contamination, fixing sensors to the valves, erection of DMA meters etc. He also reviewed the functioning of Sewer Croc Machines for de-siltation.

A joint meeting between Sri M. Dana Kishore, IAS, Managing Director, HMWSSB and Sri D.S. Lokesh Kumar, IAS, Commissioner, GHMC held today in board office and discussed on the issues of sewerage transfer and maintenance from GHMC to HMWSSB from 1st March 2020.
The suburban municipalities are having 66 Wards with a length of 3600 KM of sewerage pipeline and 3,26,254 manholes with a strength of 700 workers. The GHMC will pay an amount of Rs. 8.3 crores to HMWSSB every month for the next 5 years towards maintenance cost. The GHMC will hand over 29 air-tech machines, 66 mini air-tech machines to HMWSSB for sewerage maintenance.
Around 6500 representations received to get regularized illegal water connections under VDS-2019 and all they will be regularized by providing new CAN numbers said Managing Director, HMWSSB in a review meeting held on VDS-2019 in connection with a meeting held the ‘Dial your MD and Meet Your MD’ today. The Managing Director has also said to avail the opportunity of VDS-2019 till the last date of 21st February 2020 to avoid penalty, criminal cases etc.
On occasion 22 representations have been received in ‘Meet Your MD’ and 10 complaints have been resolved in ‘Dial Your MD’ pertains to low water pressure, sewerage overflows, etc.

The 71st Republic Day celebration held in Board office today. Sri M. Dana Kishore, Managing Director, HMWSSB has unfurled the National Tri-color Flag. Speaking on occasion, he applauded the services of HMWSSB staff for supplying the best qualitative drinking water to Hyderabad Citizens as per a report published in national dailies across India. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply Sewerage Board stands 2nd position after Mumbai for the best and purified water being supplied to its citizens. The organization has surveyed in 10 metropolitan cities like Delhi, Kolkota, Chennai, Banglore, etc.
Sri M. Dana Kishore, Managing Director, HMWWSB has reviewed the Revenue, NRW, Sewerage, WaLC issues with concerned officers and insisted upon the increasing of Revenue Collections and to reduce wastage of water to the maximum extent. The Managing Director has targeted to collect another 20% of pending payments from commercial connections. He also instructed the officers to identity the highest water wastage areas and take action accordingly.

In view of the Government of Telangana instructions, the maintenance of the sewerage system up to ORR limits has planned to take over by the HMWSSB from 1st March 2020, the Sri M. Dana Kishore, IAS, Managing Director, HMWSSB has reviewed the preparatory works with concerned officers today at a meeting held in Board Office, Khiaratabad, Hyderabad on the 8th January 2020.
The available men and machinery like Air-Tech machines, Mini Air-Tech and other infrastructures having with GHMC shall be calculated and accordingly the report has to submitted to the Govt. for further action. Sri M. Dana Kishore, IAS, Managing Director, HMWSSB had reviewed the water supply position to the 183 villages under 7 Municipalities consisting of Ibrahimpatnam, Saroornagar, Shameerpet, Keesara, Quthbullapur, Ghatkesar, Rajendranagar, Hayathnagar, Maheshwaram, R.C.Puram and Patancheruvu mandals within ORR limits on the 7th January 2020 at a meeting held in conference hall with all concerned officers.
The ORR(Outer Ring Road) Project has taken up at a cost of Rs.756 Crores to enable to quench the thirst of around 10 lakh people of 183 villages. Keeping in view of the project 164 reservoirs with a length of 1610 KM pipeline is under progress. Once the project is being completed, the villagers will get the daily water supply of around 125 liters per head on an average.

On occasion, the HMWSSB Staff planted 10000 saplings of 14 varieties in a one acre area. The Japanese famous plants botanist Akira Miyawaki plants which could grow fast and rapid speed in a short period of time. It requires more sunlight land tilted with Vermi compost.
