Water Supply Distribution Network Project for the Peripheral Circles of GHMC

The Government has accorded administrative sanction for the “Water Supply Distribution Network Project for the Peripheral Circles of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation” at an estimated cost of Rs.1900 crores vide GO.Ms.No.138, MA&UD(UBS) Department dated 21.10.2015
The Project funding is with Rs.1700 crores HUDCO Loan and Rs.200 crores through State Government budgetary support.
The project works were taken up in three packages as below.

The agreements were concluded during Feb’2016
The Project period is 24 months.
Most of the reservoir sites have been taken possession from the GHMC, Collector, R.R.District
Two reservoir sites at Kowkur& Jonnabanda are yet to be received.

Physical Progress:

Reservoirs:

The total number of reservoirs to be built – 56 Nos.
Its storage capacity-279-ML
Individual reservoir capacity ranging from 1 ML to 22.5 ML.
54 reservoir works are grounded. For 2 reservoirs i.e,. at Kowkur& Jonnabanda, land yet to be transferred from Collector, R.R.District.
All grounded reservoir works are in brisk progress.
It is programmed to complete and commission the reservoir in phased manner.

Pipelines:

The total length of pipeline to be laid in 2600 Km. The procurement of MS/DI pipelines is in progress.
Inlet Mains: It is programmed to complete the laying of inlet mains in phased manner.
Outlet and Distribution mains: It is programmed to complete the laying of outlet & distribution mains in phased manner.
