The HMWS&SB has conducted a one-day workshop on “Latest Technology in Water & Waste Water Sectors” on 27.05.2015 at the Institute of Engineers, Khairatabad, Hyderabad.

Sri.M.Jagadeeshwar, IAS, Managing Director, HMWSSB opened the workshop by lighting the Lamp.

Speaking on the occasion, the Managing Director stressed the need to explore ways and means to developing technologies that reduce human element in Sewage cleaning as against the prevailing situation wherein scavengers are employed to clean Sewers/dispose sewage, after all they are also human beings and should be given them their due in this civilized society.

He observed that there should be regular interaction between Board Engineers and industries to achieve a zero human element in sewer cleaning. Customers are willing to pay little extra for modern technological equipment provided they offer better quality and performance. He hoped this one-day workshop would come out with fruitful solutions.

About twenty companies from all over India participated and  gave Power Point Presentations in the workshop. Some of the companies exhibited their products on the occasion.

Among others who were present in the workshop include, Sri.M.Satyanarayana, Executive Director,  Sri.S.Prabhakar Sharma, Director(Technical), Sri.G.Rameshwar Rao, Director(Operations), Sri.M.Yella Swamy, Director(Projects-1), CGMs(Engg.), GMs(Engg.), Dy.GMs(Engg.), HMWSSB. Sri.V.L.Praveen Kumar, CGM(Engg)/Revenue, HMWSSB compered the programme.
