1. HMWSSB started regularizing the illegal connections in Hafeezpet. The details are given below:

       A 700/600 mm dia MS pumping main is passing through the Adithya Nagar, Hafeezpet the pipe line is intended to cater the water supply needs of  Madhapur area duly filling the 5 ML reservoir at Madhapur. The local residents of Adithya Nagar Hafeezpet main road have illegally tapped a water connection which was noticed during the routine inspection of the Dy.General Manager(E), Madhapur on 27.11.2011. The residents cut the 100 feet R&B road and extended the pipe line in to the locality. The matter was reported to the HMWSSB police, local police and with their assistance an attempt was made to remove the illegally laid pipe line on 10.12.2011.

  HMWSSB registered a compliant with the Inspector of police Miyapur vide No. 521/2011,147,149,332,430,506,341,IPC & PDC Act and the case is under investigation, when there was violent resistance from the locals.

The Managing Director vide Note approval dated:20.03.2015 has accorded permission to undertake regularization of illegal connections in accordance to the B.P No. 143 Dt. 15.02.2014. Accordingly mobile camps were conducted for a period of 4 months and applications for regularization as well as new connections were received as follows:

       During the regularization of VDS files also, when locals created troubles another FIR was lodged vide FIR No.530/2015   Dated: 13.08.2015 in the Miyapur Police Station and the police officials have initiated action against the 20 no’s offenders.

        As the network is very weak 3 junction works were carried out and water supply was improved partially and 5 nos of valve operators are deployed for operating the system in this localities. The system is being monitored and maintained by HMWS&SB.

        Further water supply bills are generated and distributed to the extent of regularized connections through revenue docket 0614-D06. The field staff is continuously monitoring and formulating proposals for upgrading the system in a phased and comprehensive manner. The total network requirement is about 20 Kms of different sizes and approximate cost would be around Rs.10.0 Crores. A list of 20 offenders resorting to illegal activities is already submitted to police officials. The offender Mr.SONU of Subhash Chandra Bose Nagar is listed in Sl No. 20 on whom the police department filed FIR and also remanded to police custody based on the compliant lodged by HMWSSB addressed to Commissioner of police Cyberabad.  On 06.08.2015 Under VDS Scheme HMWSSB is regularizing the connections in areas of Adithyanagar , Marthandanagar, Premnagar and Subhash Chandra Bose Nagar. 

     The HMWSSB officials have given wide publicity and conducted no of public meetings, mobile announcements and apprised the locals to regularize their connections and join HMWSSB fold and discourage the unauthorized offenders cropping now and then.


        2.  Instructions were given to all the O&M GMs to convert the domestic connections to Commercial category as per the field conditions in this month only.

       Already 139 connections were converted to Commercial category in S.R Nagar section of O&M Div-VI in the past one week.
