HON’BLE MINISTER KTR GARU LAID FOUNDATION STONE FOR NEW STPS ON 6 WILL BE SET UP TO TREAT WASTE WATER ON 06.08.2021

Sri.K.T.Rama Rao, Hon’ble Minister for MA&UD has laid foundation for Rs.317.50 Crore STP to be constructed at Fathenagar on 17th July, 2021. The HMWSSB has proposed to construct 17 STPs at a total cost of Rs. 1280 crores to treat 60% of sewage generated. STPs are important to protect water bodies, including Musi River from sewerage pollution. KTR said that every day over 772 MLD of sewage water is being treated out of 1950 MLD is being produced and appealed the people not to throw garbage and plastic waste to prevent choking and overflowing. Sri M.Danakishore, Managing Director, HMWSSB said that it was after a gap of 14 years that the Board had taken up the plan to build 31 STPs with modern technology under the comprehensive sewerage Master Plan.
