CO-ORDINATION COMMITTEE MEETING BETWEEN HMWSSB AND GHMC ON 21.09.2021

Beginning October 1, the HMWSSB will take over operations and maintenance (O&M) of the sewerage network on the city outskirts from GHMC, after the gap of a year. The corporation would pay the Board Rs.12 Crore per month for O&M, apart from handing over 24 airtech and 66 mini airtech machines.  To maintain the 3,600 Km sewerage network with 3.36 lakh manholes, the board has estimated that it would need about 650 workers.

A crucial meeting with regard to this was held at the Water Board headquarters on Tuesday 21-09-2021, presided over by Managing Director M. Dana Kishore and GHMC Commissioner D.S. Lokesh Kumar.

The meeting discussed transfer of staff, vehicles, jetting machines and other equipment from GHMC to the Water Board, coordination between both the departments, grievance redress and other issues.
