Sri.M.Dana Kishore, IAS, Managing Director, HMWSSB hold a meeting with the all Directors, CGMs and senior officials of HMWSSB on 09-12-2021 on deploying Special Security Surveillance at all the HMWSSB Reservoirs. The incident that took place in the recent times at Risalgadda Water Tank in Musheerabad area was unfortunate. Despite the Water Board was taking all possible measures to provide safe drinking water to the people and security at the reservoirs, the incident had taken place is unfortunate. Hundreds of reservoirs along the Outer Ring Road are supplying quality water to the public through water tanks with a three-stage chlorination process.

The Managing Director had said that more stringent security measures hereafter at the reservoirs and water tanks will be tightened. Out of 378 service reservoirs in the core city 100 reservoirs were already having 24-hour security and the remaining 278 reservoirs are having partially secured would now be proved 24-hour security to prevent others from entering the premises of reservoirs in the city and at the water tanks.

Recruitment of 100 private security guards tomorrow:

The Managing Director has further said that another 100 private security guards would be deployed from 10-12-2021 to provide 24-hour security at all the HMWSSB reservoirs. Four flying squads are being set up to inspect the reservoirs under the Chief Vigilance Officer would be monitored. Similarly, 600 CCTV cameras would also be set up on the premises of all the reservoirs to monitor continuously.
