Due to continuous rains in the city for the past few days, the Himayat Sagar and Osman Sagar (Gandipet) reservoirs are reached full tank level. In this context, on 08.09.2022, the two gates of Himayatsagar reservoir are raised by one foot and discharged 678 cusecs of water, and another two gates of Osman Sagar are raised by two feet and discharged 442 cusecs of water into Musi river. Meanwhile, the inflow of 500 cusecs to Himayat Sagar and 600 cusecs to Osman Sagar is continuing. On this occasion, the Water Board has advised the people to be careful about the catchment areas of the Musi river.
