The HMWSSB Managing Director Sri M. Dana Kishore, IAS visited slums / bastis in Shaikpet Division and Division 6 and personally examined the water supply, quality, sewage management and reservoir level monitoring system in the slums on 28-10-2022.

During the visits the Managing Director has observed that the sewerage was overflowing on the main road at OU colony in Shaikpet division and expressed his anger on the officials who were negligent in sewage management and directed the vigilance officials to conduct a detailed  inquiry into the negligence in sewage management.

Later, he inspected the reservoir in Shaikpet and reviewed the performance of the newly established online reservoir water level monitoring system and expressed satisfaction and directed the officials to ensure that there is no littering in the reservoir premises.

The MD has also visited Doodkhana Basti of Banjara Hills in Division-6 and talked to the Basthi  people and inquired about the supply of drinking water and checked the water quality himself and expressed his satisfaction. People were asked whether there were any problems in drinking water supply and sewage management and about 20 KL water supply scheme like Adhar integration and installation of new meters etc.,

The MD advised the authorities to take steps to issue e-bills instead of manual bills and directed to ensure that there are no problems of low pressure in water supply and water of quality.
