The 10 day awareness programs conducted by HMWSSB on the occasion of World Water Day 2023 celebrations ended on 31-03-2023. The closing ceremony celebration held at the Rainwater Harvesting Park in Jubilee Hills on 31-03-2023. Dr. M. Satyanarayan, ED, HMWSSB, Directors Sri D. Sridhar Babu, Sri V.L. Praveen Kumar attended as chief guests and awarded mementos and letters of appreciation to the NGOs participated in the awareness program on water conservation as a part of World Water Day celebrations 2023 conducted from 22-31 March.

On this occasion, the ED said, HMWSSB has been conducting many awareness programs for the Water Conservation  & Construction of RHW Pits for the past six years with the programs like Jala Bhagyam, Jalam-Jeevam and WALC in addition to celebrating World Water Day every year. Due to this, the importance of water has been made known to the people by engaging various voluntary organizations along with all HMWSSB officials & employees by creating awareness among the public not to waste the precious water that is being transported from far-away places with great effort by conducting meetings, rally's, door to door campaigns involving public representatives, local leaders, other departmental officials, general public and others. During the 10 days program the awareness was spread in all places, schools and community centers to prevent wastage of water, its value and importance.

Ministers Sabita Indra Reddy, Mahmood Ali, T. Srinivas Yadav, Deputy Speaker Padmarao Goud along with members of the Legislature Sudheer Reddy, Mutha Gopal, Madhavaram Krishna Rao, several corporators and public representatives participated in these ten days awareness programs.
