HMWSSB TO LOOK AFTER THE DRINKING WATER AND SEWAGE MANAGEMENT IN UPPAL BHAGAYAT LAYOUT ON 20.04.2023
HMWSSB will soon take up the Drinking Water and Sewage Management System in the Uppal Bhagayat Layout for the next three years. Sri M. Dana Kishore, IAS, Managing Director, HMWSSB along with HMDA officials visited the area on 20-04-2023 and directed that proposals are to be made by HMDA for the cost of management.
HMDA has developed residential and multi-purpose layouts covering an area of 413 acres in Phase-1 and 72 acres in Phase-II in Uppal Bhagayat area. The infrastructure to provide drinking water in this area is required pipelines, sewage and underground drainage system to meet drinking water needs.
As HMDA has recently auctioned the plots, many people are buying them. Many people have already settled there. Drinking water, sewerage distribution lines etc. need to be brought into use in this area to make it habitable. For this, the officers of both the departments inspected the area to understand the situation at the field level. After assessing the current condition of the distribution lines here, the MD, HMWSSB ordered the officials of both departments to prepare a comprehensive report on the measures to be taken for drinking water supply and submit the report and make arrangements for pumping as soon as possible.
