Sri M. Dana Kishore. MD, HMWSSB visited Vaddera Basti in Madhapur Guttala Begumpet on 10-04-2022 in the wake of the recent incident of contaminated water supply that took place in the Vaddera Basti basti. The MD along with officials went house to house and got to know the problem and welfare of the people.

The Quality Assurance and Testing Team also tested water samples collected from different houses in Vaddera Basti in Madhapur. All samples were found to contain 0.5 ppm residual chlorine in adequate doses. It was also clarified that there were no bacteria contents.

The Water Board officials found that there were no taps fitted to the 69 water connections and more than half of these were found to have toilets next to water connection pits. The Water Board personnel immediately fixed the taps to the connections having without tap brass.

The MD has directed the authorities to pay special attention to the quality of water being supplied in these areas from time to time and check the water quality every morning and evening.

The MD, HMWSSB has once again appealed the people that the drinking water is being supplied by HMWSSB is safe and secure.
