Sri  M. Dana Kishore, IAS, Managing Director, HMWSSB along with the officials visited various rain affected areas in the city to monitor the operations at the field level like Nilofar Hospital and Bazar Ghat areas in Lakdikapool on 27-07-2023.

The MD instructed the officials to take all the precautions measures like collecting number of water samples for testing and later water should be supplied to the consumers. Chlorine should also be kept in adequate quantity to distribute chlorine tablets in the required areas.

Also MD has instructed the officials to take preventive measures to arrest sewage overflow on the roads using the Airtech machines and Mini sewer jetting machines and the waste (silt) taken from manholes should immediately be removed. And the staff working at the field level should wear all protective gears at work. The Emergency Response Teams (ERT) staff should be available round the clock.

The MD appealed the citizens not to open the lids on the manholes under any circumstances and to remain cautious while going on the roads.
