Sri M. Dana Kishore,IAS Managing Director, HMWSSB visited Basthi Areas in Miyapur Section along with the officials as a part of inspection on second day on 14-07-2022. He instructed the officials to take strict action to prevent drinking water from getting contaminated in the wake of rains. the MD tested the quality of drinking water and expressed satisfaction and inquired the people about the water supply and the quality of water supplied, also asked whether the free drinking water scheme coming is utilized by the people of the basthi.

The MD also advised the officials to take proper precautions so that drinking water is not contaminated anywhere and to be more cautious towards the slums and low-lying areas. He suggested that chlorine tablets should be distributed house to house and people should be made aware of how to use them to purify water. If any complaints received about polluted water in MCC, should be resolved immediately and until the problem is resolved, water should be supplied temporarily through tankers.

The MD also instructed the officials to be cautious about sewage overflow problems anywhere, should be taken care immediately so that the people do not face any inconvenience. It is advised to pay special attention to the areas where sewage frequently overflows. Safety protocol should be strictly followed while doing the work and barricades should be set up without fail.
