As part of Telangana State's Dashabdi celebrations, Women's Welfare Day celebrated at HMWSSB Board office on 13-06-2023. Sri M. Dana Kishore, IAS Managing Director, HMWSSB attended as chief guest.

On the occasion the MD said that the civilization of a country is known by the respect given to women of that country. The role of women is very important both inside and outside the house and praised that it is only  possible for them to move forward while coordinating the family and the job. The women were given the right to vote soon after the our country got independence. There have been many changes in the country in recent times for the rights and safety for women. We all have a responsibility to respect the women.

About 600 women employees are working in different positions in the water board and 50 of them were selected and honored with a shawl and given a memento on the occasion of Women's Welfare Day for their valuable services rendered.

Dr. M. Satyanarayana, ED, HMWSSB and other Directors, Senior officials, Water Works Employees Union Association and others participated in the program.
