The State Government has decided to implement the PRC-2020 for Water Board employees. Special Chief Secretary to the Government Sri Arvind Kumar, IAS issued directions to this effect on Wednesday (17.11.2021) vide Memo No. 14059. The State Government has decided to extend the PRC, which is applicable to the employees of the State Government through GO No. 51 issued on 11.06.2021 to the employees of the Water Board as well. The Government has issued orders to implement the PRC for employees from 01.07.2018. PRC arrears to Water Board employees from 01.06.2021 will also be received through Cash.

With the implementation of PRC-2020, the water board will have to pay an additional Rs. 12 crore per month under salaries. The salary of the employees will increase from around Rs. 7,000/- to Rs. 25,000/-. The PRC covers 3,900 employees, 3,200 pensioners, family pensioners and 500 outsourcing employees working in the Water Board.
