The Water Board has won two prestigious PRSI Awards in the field of Public Relations at the 3^rd Telangana State Public Relations Conference organized as part of Golden Jubilee celebrations of Hyderabad Chapter. The Public Relations of India (PRSI) Hyderabad Chapter has completed 50 years after inception. On the occasion, the HMWSSB was selected for the awards based on the performance of various other organizations in the field of PR and won two awards competing with other Leading National and State Level Organizations like Singareni Calories, NMDC, TSIIC, TSat, Ranmky, Agricultural University etc.

‘Water for All.. Excellence through Innovation’ Coffee Table Book won first prize published by the Water Board. The Coffee Table Book is the compilation of all the Water Board activities. The video song 'Jala Geetham' composed by HMWSSB also bagged the first place in the category of Best Use of Graphics and Effects. A four - minute video was made to explain the value of water being supplied to urban areas from the Krishna and Godavari rivers with great effort by the water Board, as well as to create awareness not to waste precious water. The awards were presented by Sri Srinivas Goud, Hon’ble for Minister for Tourism and Culture to K. Subhash, Public Relations Officer, HMWSSB and K. Manohara Chary, OSD (PRO) at the PRSI Golden Jubilee celebrations held at the Hotel Plaza, Begumpet, Hyderabad.
