The government has decided to go for performance review and annual audit of private sewage treatment plants (STPs) within the outer ring road vide G.O No. 292 issued on 30.07.2022. HMWSSB is taking up “Performance Evaluation and Annual Audit of Private Sewerage Treatment Plants” upto ORR Limits through Environmental Enforcement Cell (EEC) of MA&UD as directed by the State Government.

From 1^st August, HMWSSB and EEC team will conduct direct inspection and audit of the private STPs already in use. Inlet and outlet parameters as well as various technical aspects are examined and audited by these teams.

All the consumers having private sewerage treatment plant in their premises are requested to register their STPs details in online portal on https://eec.telangana.gov.in and get audited and cooperate with EEC and HMWSSB officials. Further the consumers are requested to pay an amount of Rs. 5000/- user charges for performance evaluation and audit purpose.

Defaulting in payment of the user charges of Rs.5000/-, may entail revoking 20KL free water supply and also disconnection of their water supply connections.
