The Amberpet STP received ISO certification in 3 categories:

1. Environmental Management System - ISO14001-2015:

For the Management of Waste Water Treatment

2. Quality Management - ISO 9001-2015: 

For the Quality Standards being followed in the sewagetreatment at the plants

3. Occupational Health and Safety Management– ISO 45001-2018:

For the precautionary measures that are being taken for the health of the workers surrounding population.

Presently there are 25 STPs in Hyderabad city. The total capacity of these are 772 MLDs. Out of these, 20 STPs are being managed by HMWSSB, through which 95 percent of the sewage of 714 MLDs is being treated. In the treatment process, pH, BOD, CVOD, TSS and other parameters are being monitored through Online Continuous Effluent Monitoring System Technology (OCEMS).

D. Sridhar Babu, Director Projects, VL Praveen Kumar, Director Revenue, M. Sujatha, CGM STP Circle -1, S. Subrahmanyam, GM STP Div -1 handed over these ISO certificates to Sri M. Dana Kishore, MD, HMWSSB at Board office on 31-07-2023. The MD congratulated the all the concerned officers, employees and staff and expressed his happiness for getting the ISO certification in all 3 categories.
